Flights on the route Trabzon-Baku-Trabzon will start to operate from June 17. The flights will be carried out by Turkish airline Onur Air.

Departure from Trabzon to Baku will be carried out at 01:00 local time, from Baku to Trabzon – at 04:00 local time.

The price of a round-trip ticket will start at 99 euros. The flights will be carried out every Saturday.

Earlier, Onur Air carried out flights from Turkey’s Istanbul to Azerbaijan’s Ganja city.

Sales Director of the Pegasus Airlines Emre Pekesen previously  told that the Turkish low cost carrier plans to launch direct flight between Baku and Ankara.

Pekesen said that from June Pegasus Airlines will be operating a second hub in Turkey, Ankara and the company is currently working on obtaining permissions to launch a direct flight between Ankara and Baku.

More than 600,000 Azerbaijani tourists visited Turkey in 2016, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute.

Azerbaijani tourists often travel to Turkey for vacation in July and August. Turkey which provides high-quality and inexpensive vacation for many international tourists has long ago become one of the most favorite destinations for many Azerbaijanis.
